Did you know….

  • that Romania is the only country left where the Brown Bear still lives in the wild?
  • the earliest human fossils were found in Romania?
  • Romania is home to “happiest cemetery in the world”?
  • that Canada & Romania both signed the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1990?

These, and other interesting facts, were shared at the last May team meeting when team members reported on their research ‘homework’ about Romania.

This year’s May team will be serving alongside Pas Cu Pas staff & volunteers in Romania from May 10 to May 23. Their schedule is packed with opportunities to minister to those in need! They will be visiting schools, orphanages, group homes, a senior’s residence, and a hospital. They will also be helping to run two sessions of “mini-camp” – a weekend retreat for children & teens living in government care. Plans for crafts and games and skits are well underway as this team continues to prepare for these incredible opportunities ahead.
