Sitting on my bed, realizing I have just two full days left here in Romania (for the foreseeable future, at least) and I can’t believe it. This summer in Romania has truly been a priceless experience and I can’t express in words just how thankful I am for it. There have been countless moments where I’ve just stopped and thought how blessed I’ve been to be able to be a part of the things I have been & to get to know so many incredible people with Pas cu Pas … to highlight a few: the many kilometers traveled & beautiful scenery seen from the big white van, an incredible week at Somesul Rece filled with moments & connections that I already miss, new insights thanks to many wise people, seeing supportive friendships in action while hiking in the Calimani Mountains, jumping in the pool at Figa countless times with good friends, the many (extremely patient) people who became my Romanian teachers along the way, hiking in a storm praying I wouldn’t slip down the mountain & just make it out of Romania in one piece … and SO many more, I could talk about it for hours. My heart feels so connected to Pas cu Pas, the experiences, and the many relationships that have been built here- which isn’t making “la revedere” easy… thanks so much for all the love & hospitality you’ve shared with me over the last two months.
