This May, Muskoka Woods is again sending some of their incredible camp staff to Romania. This group of 8 young people and 2 leaders will be working alongside our Romanian Pas Cu Pas team, supporting them in their outreach to children living in government care. Together, this group of Canadian & Romanians, will be hosting one session of mini-camp and providing an overnight retreat for Pas Cu Pas mentors and the children they are investing in. They will also spend time ministering to children and people in need as they visit orphanages, group homes, schools, and senior’s residences.
Over the last several months, this team from Muskoka Woods has been preparing for their trip. They have been working hard on fundraising, exploring more about Romanian culture, learning about Pas Cu Pas’ ministry, practicing some Romanian language, and planning program activities.They have participated in teaching, reflective sharing, and experiences that are helping them to grow closer to one another and build their sense of community. They are collecting supplies, filling in paperwork, and making sure they have all the little details in order for their trip. This time of preparation is demanding, but it is also really significant for team members – not just in helping them to be ready to make the most of their trip, but also in giving them opportunities to grow and learn and step out in faith even before they leave.
Please keep this team in our prayers — now as they prepare for their trip, and especially while they are away in Romania (from May 3-18, 2017). We are excited to see what God will do in and through this team!
