As our team prepares to leave neclean this morning, we’re thankful for the faces we’ve met and the fun we’ve shared over the past 4 days. Sun shined over our first 3 days of ministry with kids from Ilisua and Teaca as we played games, shared stories from the bible, sang songs, and enjoyed each other’s company. We realize (at least a little bit) that life for these kids is not “just” what we see in our few days together, so we’ve also been praying for all that glimpses of joy would prevail in each of their lives that would give them hope for te future.
Today we head out to Palatca (a camp/retreat centre) for the second “mini camp” of our time spent here – this time with teens aged 12-14 from a few different group/foster homes in the towns of Gherla and Dej. This is our last weekend in Romania! So were praying and hoping that we’ll continue to remain open to God’s leading in love and grace, and not to miss those opportunities to learn and serve. You’ll hear from us after the retreat!
