Our Canadian team left for Romania on Friday last week and already they have overcome jet lag and jumped all in – traveling to a small village on the weekend where they met a bunch of the Pas Cu Pas volunteers and about a dozen teenagers from group homes. Together this group has hiked a mountain (Monday) and spent time together planning and preparing for the kids day camp that they will lead. This VBS-style camp will be run for about 40-45 children in the village. The camp starts tomorrow (Wed) and will run for 4 days.
Here is a little message for trip leader, Stetson:
“So yesterday we did the hike and it was a great team builder. Everyone made it to the goal! There was lots of great conversation happening yesterday which lead into having a lot of fun getting camp ready today. We are all excited to have the village kids arrive tomorrow.”
