A Tough Mudder Race that is…. In our final day of camp we were put to the test in nine challenges to compete in such activities as balloon shaving, the welded leg race, and blind obstacle leading to name a few. The whole weekend with the teens was spent building their team work skills and acceptance of themselves and others. We started the time out with a giant Amazing Race where everyone was split into four teams and it was truly a race against time. We ate together, sang together and most importantly deepened our relationships with one another. On the Saturday, though it was pouring rain most of the day, this did not dampen our Spirits as we taught and learned skill building such as carpentry, garden making and creative arts. This activity concluded with a giant celebration of each person’s new masterpiece. The rain finally let up in the end of the day and we were able to enjoy one of the largest bonfires I have seen yet in Romania. We all left the weekend feeling warmed by God’s touch and presence in all that we learned and the relationships that were formed.

The May Team is incredibly Thankful for all your prayers and support through our time in Romania. This experience has touched each one of us in different ways and left us with many different reflections of our own definition of life long mission and how that will continue to be lived out in our lives. We came as one type of people and all left as changed. Ask a May Team member about their action plan for the future- I’m sure they would enjoy sharing some of their new insights with you!

Blessings,
The May Team
